Post-Launch Progression
What to do after launch week on Vol'jin — week 2 through month 1 goals: Mythic+ weekly, Heroes Callboard, Molten Core to Blackwing Lair route, and stabilizing economy.
After Launch Week on Vol'jin
Conquest of Azeroth launched July 3, 2026. Launch week population peaks fade by week two — dungeon queues stabilize, auction house prices cool from launch spikes, and guilds lock raid schedules. This guide covers goals from your second week through the first month at level 60.
If you are still leveling, finish the Launch Week Guide first. At cap, treat each weekly reset as a checklist: Mythic+ keystone, Heroes Callboard objectives, raid lockouts, and profession cooldowns.
Weekly Endgame Loop
Level 60 progression rotates around parallel systems — none hard-gate the others, but efficient players touch each weekly.
- Mythic+ — one weekly keystone for cache rewards; push keys with a fixed group — see Mythic+ guide
- Heroes Callboard — capital city objectives for gold, gear tokens, and upgrade currency — Callboard guide
- Raid lockouts — Molten Core → Onyxia → Blackwing Lair on your guild schedule
- Manastorm — procedural challenges for class mastery and unique loot
- World bosses — supplemental immersive drops between raid nights
Raid Progression Route
Launch raid order mirrors classic vanilla progression updated for CoA kits. Start Molten Core for Tier 1 sets, clear Onyxia's Lair for weapons and trinkets, then push Blackwing Lair for Tier 2. Ascended difficulty on each tier assumes optimized essences and enchants from lower tiers.
Pickup groups still form for Normal and Heroic Molten Core on reset days. Mythic and Ascended require guild voice comms and assigned interrupt rotations per the June CC redesign.
Economy and Gold After Week One
Auction house prices normalize as crafters flood markets with gathered mats. Shift from launch-week flipping to steady income: dual gathering, Callboard gold caches, and dungeon BoE sales. Read the Gold Making Guide for method details.
Avoid overspending on stale BiS listings — immersive drops and Mythic+ gear replace overpriced blues within days of cap.
Hybrid Risk and Open World
From level 20 you can toggle PvE, War Mode, and High Risk in major cities or rested zones — see the updated Hybrid Risk guide. Week two farmers often run War Mode in contested zones for bonus XP on alts while mains stay PvE for raid prep.
High Risk remains isolated in a separate open-world phase but dungeons, raids, and battlegrounds allow cross-mode grouping — plan flags before raid night.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do in week 2 after launch?
Hit level 60, run weekly Mythic+, complete Heroes Callboard, and start Molten Core with your guild. Read Post-Launch Progression for the full checklist.
Which raid should I clear first?
Molten Core for Tier 1, then Onyxia, then Blackwing Lair. Normal/Heroic first; Mythic/Ascended after gear and essence optimization.
Does the economy still favor gatherers?
Yes, though prices stabilize after week one. Gathering plus Callboard objectives remains the steadiest gold through month one.
