Conquest of Azeroth officially launched free to play on July 3, 2026 on the Vol'jin live realm through Project Ascension's launcher. The release was announced in Ascension's YouTube video "Full Release: Conquest of Azeroth" published June 28, 2026.
Launch times by region: PST 7:00 AM, EST 10:00 AM, GMT 3:00 PM, CET 4:00 PM, CST (China) 11:00 PM. Servers opened simultaneously for the global launch event.
CoA is no longer in beta or PTR-only testing. Create a free Ascension account, select Conquest of Azeroth from the launcher dropdown, and join Vol'jin immediately — no access key required.
What Went Live on Release Day
All 21 original classes with 70 specializations, dual Dragonflight-inspired talent trees, Ability Essences from level 30, and the new Support role launched together. Expanded Azeroth includes new quests, zones, POIs, and reworked starting areas.
Endgame at launch: Mythic+ vanilla dungeons, Ascended raids (Molten Core, Onyxia, Blackwing Lair), Manastorm, Hybrid Risk PvP/PvE, 2v2/3v3 arena, battlegrounds, world bosses, Heroes Callboard, Prestige mode, and Hardcore Trials.
Item systems: 9,000+ immersive gear drops, 1,800+ Worldforged items, RPG creature overhaul, Woodcutting and Woodworking professions.

Post-Launch Content Phases
